Occasionally the state or federal government will offer grants to have traffic enforcement initiatives. Often they focus on speed or DUIs. The DUI program in Missouri has been put on hold due to its lack of effectiveness.
However, there are several laws that are often overlooked, cause numerous accidents, and often result in road rage. Below, a few are listed that the state should consider a focus/enforcement of.

- Courtesy warning: Letting people in when blinkers are used
Warning as its not a law? However, if blinker usage is enforced, letting people in may happen automatically as the reason many use for not using a blinker is they won’t let me in. Often these ARE the ones that won’t let people in, so perhaps one habit change will lead to the other habit change. - Tailgating
